Chasing perfect drifts in Neon Drift Rally
Neon Drift Rally hides most of its depth in the drift-score targets on each track. Early on I'd finish a race feeling fast and still miss the target by miles. The trick is realizing that the game rewards one long continuous drift far more than several short clean ones.
Instead of tapping out of every corner, I started holding the drift through linked turns, even feathering the steering to keep it alive on short straights. The multiplier climbs the longer you hold, and the scores jumped immediately.
Switch to the button layout if you're serious about this. Tilt steering feels fun but it's too twitchy to maintain those long drifts, and I kept over-correcting and killing my chain. The buttons gave me the precision to ride the edge.
Learn the shortcuts too. Each track hides at least one, and taking it while mid-drift is the fastest way to top the leaderboards. It's a simple game, but there's real satisfaction in finally nailing a whole lap as one unbroken slide.
