Ironline Command
Ironline Command is a strategy game that cares more about logistics than big flashy units. You're moving squads across a map where terrain actually matters, keeping supply lines open, and reacting to an AI that will happily cut off your reinforcements if you leave a flank exposed.
The interface took us a session or two to get comfortable with — there's a lot going on — but once it clicks, giving orders feels smooth even on a smaller screen. Pinch to zoom, drag to select, tap to issue commands. The campaign ramps the difficulty at a fair pace and the skirmish mode is where we ended up spending most of our time.
It's not a casual game, and the tutorial could explain supply mechanics better. But if you want something you can genuinely lose at because you planned poorly, this scratches that itch.
What we liked
- Supply lines that actually matter
- Terrain-aware tactical combat
- Meaty skirmish mode for long sessions
