Hollow Tide

★★★★★ 4.5 Editor rating

Hollow Tide is a slower, atmospheric adventure where you explore a half-sunken town, piece together what happened to the people who lived there, and solve environmental puzzles along the way. It leans on mood more than action, and that patience pays off.

You move by tapping where you want to go and interacting with objects to uncover notes, old photos, and clues. The puzzles are built into the world — adjusting water levels, finding keys, rerouting old machinery — so they never feel like filler. We got genuinely stuck a couple of times in a good way.

The sound design deserves a special mention: dripping water, distant gulls, creaking wood. On headphones it's genuinely immersive. If you want a story-driven game to take slowly over a week, this is a great pick.
